The connection of rebar using the 25 rebar coupler involves a precise process. Steel bars are prepared by removing some of their longitudinal and transverse ribs using a rolling threading machine. This method employs cutting techniques to create standard straight threads on the rebar, which can then be seamlessly connected with a purpose-built 25 rebar coupler.


1. Bar Preparation: The straight threads need to be achieved by ensuring that the length of the threaded ends of the rebar measures between 10.5 mm and 12.5 mm, with a standard thread length of approximately 30 mm to 33 mm.


2. Thread Length and Tolerances: It's crucial to note that the length of the rebar's thread should be half the length of the coupler itself, with a tolerance of 2P (where **P** is the pitch). This precise alignment helps the threaded portions of the rebar sit centrally within the coupler, ensuring a secure connection.


3. Torque Specifications: For effective installation of the 25 rebar coupler, a minimum torque of 230 N.m is required. This torque allows for accurate threading on circular bars, using specific tools such as taps and wrenches to achieve the desired finish.
