Moreover, it is critical to ensure that the percentage of joint area in any given connection segment does not exceed 50%. This is vital for maintaining the structural integrity of beams under load.


3. Joint Classification Requirements:

In critical locations or high-stress regions, it is advisable to select higher-grade mechanical connections. For instance, if there is a requirement for 100% rebar continuity in a specific connection segment, it becomes mandatory to employ grade I joints. This ensures that the joint strength meets the expected load requirements and enhances the overall performance of the beam.
